UAE to invest 15 billion USD in alternative energy
General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met Patrick Devedjian, the French Minister in charge of the implementation of the economic recovery plan.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the establishment of Abu Dhabi future energy company Masdar and the importance of investing in alternative energy. He said a plan has been approved to invest $15 billion over 10 years in the field of alternative energy. The Crown Prince said several German, Spanish, Japanese and US firms have presented offers.
