Abu Dhabi National Hotels marks completion of Saadiyat hotel

Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi to open in first quarter of next year

Saif Mohammad Al Hajri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH), attended the ceremony marking the completion of construction of the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi resort on Saadiyat Island, one of the largest resorts in the Middle East.

The first resort on the island was completed at a cost of Dh730 million.

The ceremony was also attended by Richard W. Riley, CEO of ADNH, and Hamad Bin Khalaf Al Otaiba, executive vice-president of the company and a number of developers and operators of the resort.

Al Hajri said: "Tourism has advanced in the city of Abu Dhabi, thanks to the vision of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and directives of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to support the tourism sector."

Future growth

Al Hajri said in a statement to Gulf News that "the resort's construction was completed in a period of 11 months, and represents a qualitative addition to deluxe tourism in the emirate of Abu Dhabi."

He said that "the resort owned by ADNH overlooks the entire beach and adds a new dimension to the environmentally-friendly green buildings, and is one of the most beautiful tourist resorts by quality in the emirate of Abu Dhabi."

Al Hajri announced that he will be opening the resort, the first of its kind on Saadiyat Island, and in the region, during the first quarter of next year.

He also pointed out that ADNH was keen to take into account the construction of this luxurious resort based on environmentally-friendly matters and saving energy, using modern technology in all phases of construction.

He added that the company is continuing its plans for future growth and expansion for tourism development, along with the Strategic Plan of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in 2030.
